Jim Brown was the original president of FSL. Though he remains an active leader in the firm, Jim recently took on a new role as the company’s executive vice president. As such, he has transferred his day-to-day management duties in order to focus on cultivating new business in the emerging markets of renewable energy, alternative fuels and waste-to-energy products. Jim’s knowledge of product development spans more than 30 years, and FSL will benefit greatly from his work in this area.
Jim originates or brokers federal, state and local government loans for resale by First Security Leasing, Inc. or its broker-dealer affiliate, Crews & Associates, Inc. Under his guidance, First Security Leasing has focused much of its resources in the financing of energy performance contracts for energy services companies in the long-term capital markets.
Jim helped start FSL after three decades of dedicated service to its affiliate company, Crews & Associates, Inc. During his tenure at Crews, Jim served first as a NASD Series 7-licensed security salesman; in 1997, he became an investment banker and lease broker.
