Scott Beardsley joined FSL in 2007 as the firm’s president. Scott brings to FSL his experience as senior vice president of FSL affiliate, First Security Beardsley Public Finance. Scott will work closely with FSL clients to create positive leasing plans for some of the state’s largest corporate and governmental entities.

Scott’s financial expertise in the public sector is a great resource for the firm and its clients. Since 1993, he has specialized in financial models involving ad valorem taxes and Arkansas schools. Scott has developed computer models to assist schools in understanding both local revenue and the state funding formula. He is one of the state’s most experienced financial advisors and is the first Arkansan to earn the designation of Certified Independent Public Financial Advisor (CIPFA) from the National Association of Independent Public Financial Advisors.

Scott attended Kansai Gaidai in Osaka, Japan, before graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas. He received his Masters from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Scott maintains all required state licenses.
